DHM Export helps contractors in Florida and equipment buyers in other countries find and buy used heavy equipment, such as excavators, wheel loaders, skid steers, compact track loaders and motor graders. We work for the buyer: we search for the machine you ask for, arrange an independent mechanic inspection, verify the title and the seller, negotiate on your behalf, and coordinate delivery in Florida or hand-off to your freight forwarder. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do and do not do with it.

02Information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact details: your name, company, phone or WhatsApp number, email address and preferred language, when you call us, text us, message us on WhatsApp, email us or send the machine request form on this website.
• Request details: the machine type, make and model, year range, hours, budget, timeline, Florida city or destination country and port, and anything else you tell us so we can search for the right machine.
• Purchase and shipping details: when you move forward with a machine, the information needed to complete it, such as the buyer name on the bill of sale, delivery address, freight forwarder details and payment records.
• Text message consent records: when you agree to receive texts from us, we keep a record of it, including the date and time, how you agreed (for example the website form, a phone call, an email, a WhatsApp chat, or by texting us first) and the phone number you gave us. When you opt out, we keep a record of that too.

Information collected automatically

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, analytics tools, advertising pixels or social media trackers. Our web host keeps standard server records, which can include your internet address, browser type, date and time, and the pages you asked for. These are used for security and to keep the site working. When you send the request form, we also record the date, time and internet address it came from, so we have a record of the request. More detail is in our Cookie Policy.

03How we use it

• To answer your request and search for the machine you asked for.
• To arrange the inspection, share the inspection report, verify the title and the seller, and negotiate for you.
• To coordinate payment, trucking in Florida or hand-off to your freight forwarder.
• To contact you about your request by phone, text, WhatsApp or email, in the language you prefer.
• To keep records of requests, purchases, consent and opt-outs, and to meet our legal, tax, export and record-keeping obligations.
• To protect this website and our business from fraud and abuse.

04Text messages and your mobile number

If you agree to receive texts from us, you agree to receive text messages and WhatsApp messages from DHM Export (Dark Horse Machinery) at the number you gave us about your machine requests, search updates, machine options, inspection reports, quotes, deals, delivery or export hand-off, and customer service. Message frequency varies based on your interaction with us. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out, or reply HELP for help. You can also reach us at 786-946-9696 or gustavo.l@dhmexport.com. Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The full rules are in our Text Messaging Terms.

05Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where we need to:

• The independent mechanic who inspects a machine for you: only what is needed to schedule the inspection and send you the report.
• The seller, dealer or auction company, the hauler and your freight forwarder: only the details needed to complete, deliver or ship the machine you chose, such as the buyer name, delivery address and an on-site contact.
• Service providers who work for us: our phone and texting provider, email provider and web host, only so they can provide their service to us.
• When the law requires it: in response to a valid legal request from a public authority, for export and customs records, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

None of these companies may use your information for their own marketing. Your text message opt-in and consent records are never shared with them for that purpose.

06How long we keep it

We keep contact details and messages for as long as we have an active or possible business relationship with you, and after that only as long as we need to for legal, tax, export or record-keeping reasons. Text message consent and opt-out records are kept for at least four years so we can show when and how consent was given or withdrawn. Purchase and shipping records are kept for as long as tax, export and business record rules require.

07Your choices

• Text messages: reply STOP to any message, or tell us by phone, WhatsApp or email, and we will stop.
• Email: ask us to stop emailing you and we will.
• Seeing, correcting or deleting your information: email gustavo.l@dhmexport.com and we will answer within a reasonable time. Some records, such as purchase, export and consent records, have to be kept where the law requires it.

08Security

We use reasonable everyday and technical measures to protect the information we hold. No way of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

09Buyers outside the United States

We are based in the United States, and the information you send us is stored and handled in the United States. If you contact us from another country, you understand that your information will be handled under United States law.

10Children

We sell to businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

11Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Important changes that affect text messages will be posted here before they take effect.
